East Bay EDA recently participated in executive interviews for San Diego Economic Development Corporation’s recent report, “Catalyzing CA’s Fusion Advantage: Roadmap to Commercialization,” which found that California’s fusion energy sector could generate up to $125 billion in economic impact and support over 40,000 jobs statewide, with the right support of commercialization and state policy decisions. For the East Bay, this presents a major opportunity to leverage its existing strengths in advanced manufacturing, research institutions, and clean tech innovation.
