Roof and Realm Tour – On January 31, 2025, East Bay EDA led a group of 30+ members and partners on an exclusive tour of Roof and Realm, a premier builder of modular homes and accessory dwelling units (ADUs). Founded in 2019 and located in Concord, the company specializes in a wide range of customizable steel-framed homes that are fire, mold, and pest retardant. Having opened around the time of the start of the pandemic, their business began to grow quickly as people’s interest in ADUs increased. Over the past five years, the company has undergone three expansions and is currently assessing market demand for a potential East Coast warehouse. Read on the blog.

Dutra Expands Operations at the Port of Richmond – The Port of Richmond proudly announces that Dutra, a leading provider of dredging, marine construction, and aggregate services, has expanded its operations at the port with the lease of Basin 1 at the historic Point Potrero Marine Terminal (PPMT). This expansion marks a significant milestone in the port’s commitment to fostering business growth and supporting maritime industry leaders. Port of Richmond EOI – The Port of Richmond has released a Request for Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the historic General Warehouse. This four-story, 160,000 sq. ft. property is in the heart of the Point Potrero Marine Terminal and well-positioned to complement diverse marine trades and services and/or be provisioned for light industrial use.
