East Bay Manufacturing Summit

Registration is now open for the East Bay Manufacturing Summit, taking place on Tuesday, October 29 (10 AM-2 PM) at the Downtown Fremont Event Center. The summit will bring together East Bay manufacturers, civic leaders, education, and industry partners to foster connections in supporting a more dynamic, resilient, and inclusive manufacturing ecosystem and regional economy. The event will feature panel discussions highlighting microclimates of innovation, cutting-edge workforce models, and international trade opportunities. There will be an area for exhibitors to showcase their company/organization and their services. Reserve your spot today! 

East Bay EDA Tours Port of Richmond

More than 30 East Bay EDA members and partners took an exclusive guided bus tour with Port of Richmond Director, Charles Gerard. The Port of Richmond is Northern’s California’s most diversified cargo handler – home to critical maritime services, liquid bulk cargos, automobile processing, and emerging clean tech manufacturers. Is your company/organization a leader in sustainability in Contra Costa County? Nominations are now open for the 2024 Sustainable Contra Costa Awards! Deadline for submissions is June 30.  

Attention climate tech and energy entrepreneurs! The DOE Boost Startup Studio program, a collaboration between Sandia National Laboratories and Fedtech, is seeking entrepreneurs who are passionate about making a high impact in the climate tech industry. For additional details about the startup studio and to access the entrepreneur application, please visit boostplatform.org. Please reach out to Kelli Howie at khowie@sandia.gov. Applications are due Friday, June 14. 

Looking for local skilled talent or upskilling your employees? The 28 Bay Area Community Colleges offers a range of manufacturing programs, from CAD, energy, machining, to process technology. Take a look at the Bay Area Community College manufacturing programs and contact Dr. Mark Martin, Advanced Manufacturing Director, for your manufacturing workforce needs.
