East Bay Industrial Areas – For the past few years, East Bay EDA has been leading Resilient East Bay, a cross-sector initiative supported by academic, civic, and industry leaders to ensure that the East Bay remains one of the nation’s leading manufacturing regions. In 2025, East Bay EDA will be involved in two projects related to maximizing the value of our region’s industrial lands: the Metropolitan Transportation Commission’s Priority Production Areas initiative and the Green Empowerment Zone (GEZ). Alameda County Women’s Hall of Fame – the Alameda County Women’s Hall of Fame recognizes outstanding women for their achievements and contributions to Alameda County and its residents. This award is in recognition of a legacy of work – both in professional careers and/or volunteer service – that has made a positive impact in the lives of Alameda County residents. Categories include business & professions, culture & art, community service, education, health, science-tech-engineering, and more. AMBayArea MFG Awards – Celebrate excellence in manufacturing and showcase the industry’s best by nominating a standout local company for the AMBayArea MFG Awards! Awards for Manufacturer of the Year in the categories of small, medium, and large companies will be presented at the AMBayArea Summit 2025 on Tuesday, April 29. Use the online form to nominate your company or email info@ambayarea.org to nominate a manufacturing company. Nominations close February 10.
California Competes Tax Credit – The California Competes Tax Credit (CCTC) is an income tax credit available to businesses that want to locate in California or stay and grow in California. Businesses of any industry, size, or location compete for tax credits will have their submittals analyzed based on fourteen different factors of evaluation, including number of full-time jobs being created, amount of investment, and strategic importance to the state or region. The next application period for businesses to apply for the CCTC will open on Monday, February 24, 2025. For more information, visit the California Competes Tax Credit website.
